On 26thJune 2014, our Principal Partner Mrs Christine Koo, together with Ms Hao Wang, senior partner of Rayyin & Partners based in Beijing, gave talks in a seminar organised by the Hong Kong Trustees' Association Limited on “Estate Planning through Trusts in Mainland China and Hong Kong”. The seminar was held at the HK International Arbitration Centre of Hong Kong.
More than 100 members of the Hong Kong Trustees' Association attended the seminar, comprising professionals from trust companies, investment banks and commercial banks, and lawyers with trust practice. The audience was very interested in the new trust law of Mainland China, the similarities and differences between the trust laws in Mainland China and in Hong Kong, and the opportunities for the Hong Kong trust industry to serve high net worth individuals in Mainland China who have a growing interest in trusts.
